Tullio Abbate Exception 52

Can anyone tell me anything about this boat? It looks interesting to me but I can´t find any information about it. Twin Perkins diesels? (not seen them on any other boat) and a seemingly unusual shaft drive, looks a bit like surface drive. I´m guessing a bit of a classic and looks like it could be a great day/weekender but is it any good and is it likely to be a money pit?

Never seen those Perkins before, are they TV8-540Ms? and not clear whether its on straight shafts or surface drives, they are claiming 40knot cruise and 50 knot WOT so surely must be surface driven, the quoted speeds seems optimistic for a 50 footer with less than 800HP

More likely to be V8 640s, the 540 wouldn't make 400hp for long without grenading.
