one heck of a lot of milesd between California and Japan

imagine if 300 years ago this suddenly happened on the walton backwatrers or Chichester harbour

It happend 400 years ago!

Apparently one did hit the Bristol Channel area in 1607, swamping 190 sq miles, and killing 2000 people. I remember a documentary about it a couple of years ago.
