Trimaran dismasted @ Shotley Spit

Gone a bit OT here. Sorry... :apologetic:

Given that the most active thread on these forums is called "Drift a thread" (it's in the Lounge, there may be dragons and things in there) I wouldn't worry about going off topic on the YBW forums too much. It's not generally considered a hanging offence (unlike other forums)

And welcome on board by the way!

Ssshhh, don't mention DaT and awaken the sleeping dragon, there be lions and tigers and bears in there

Also repeat the welcome note, welcome to the most friendly part anyway

Ah Strata boat ??

this is a good photo exchange site
http://www.yourboatpix.co.uk/browse3.php

**** most of that is bollix :) just having The Craic

I have been on all the Strata boats and the East Anglian Sailing School is a really good place to learn..........but sailing for 5 days at a time with 5 other people sharing the space and doing the cooking isn't for me. I stuck it out until I became totally disillusioned with the RYA and then I gave up. If it had been single days at a time and none of that cooking bollocks I would have completed the whole lot but instead SWMBO bought a boat:-) Much cheaper too surprisingly.

Yeah I get that. This was me plus three friends so no strangers to share with. We chartered the boat and paid for the instructor, rather than signing up for a predefined course; it was really good. Cooking is something you love or hate, personally I enjoy producing a good meal under difficult conditions, but then I like camping too... :-) Same diff.

Bottle or two of red always helps.

Genius! How did you do that?

I think it was just out of sympathy:-) I can live alone quite easily and eat correctly too but maybe not to the standard expected when preparing other peoples food.
