I have a very old QL trim tab system on board which has worked lethargically for a number of years. Very recently I lowered one of the tabs but it just will not rise again. The hydraulic pump motor can be heard running but there's no resultant action so I'm guessing either the valve block is not working or the ram is jammed. Before I start dismantling bits, is it likely the tab will rise up if I diconnect the oil line to it? I've pulled up hard on the tab but can't budge it but I'm presuming I might be fighting against the hydraulic oil so releasing that pressure might help.
