Trilux for Saildrive or Not?

I wonder how they define 'professional use'.
For some toxic products they just do that to avoid legal responsibilities. For example I once bought a tube of Mastinox "professional use only", it had several warning labels and the distributor said it would have been illegal to sell it through normal customer channels.

Professional effectively means the product cannot be sold retail as the manufacturer is trying to restrict sales (to people who wear proper faces masks and full HazMat kit).

I suspect its not the manufacturer who imposes the restrictions but some H and S bureaucratic organisation who will only approve usage as so restricted because it is perceived the products has some health risk - such as containing carcinogens.

No manufacturer wants the liability of silicosis or asbestosis and they are sensibly covering their backs. Like Ceasar stone - the long term effects of using some chemicals, or products (like silica) are not fully known nor appreciated. Having said that the dangers of silicosis have been known for decades so how Ceasar stone was ever approved in the first place is a puzzle.

You can usually find a distributor who will sell whatever the product is that is so restricted - but usually in sizes too large for a retail sale, as is the current case with Trilux.
