the marina we are at hosted the club event in I think it was 2007, when the designer himslef was there. He would probably be willing to host again being as it is yards from the old factory

Have watched the video from 2007, wished I'd had mine back then... However let's hope we can repeat or even better it next year would be great to see a good gathering of Tridents, they are all a little bit different so its always interesting to see what others have done... Have fun getting her ready and hopefully see you out there.

Ask Moby 2 he's the local owner association rep as was the original Old Harry here who still loves his example.

Visited a trident and found the engine occupied half the cabin,don’t put yourself off or your mate,little old boats were great50 years ago when our bodies where more supple and we had dreams of a westerly 26.

Morning, I think you need to ask yourself what you want from a boat, personally I like the classic look, wanted something that sailed reasonably well and had some space below, I`m 5ft 8" and have to stoop a little, other than that no compalints, built like an outhouse and quite forgiving. As for performance ... trust me if Seajet thought it was a pile of rubbish he would certainly voice that opinion to me and I have over the years appreciated his honesty on all things sailing.
We have a very good association for peanuts a year subs and try and organise rallies and meetings (when we are not in Covid that is)

Sorry meant to add... Things to look out for:
Make sure the engine is diseil and the newer the better most have Yanmar 1GM 10 fitted, standing rigging and sails if replaced recently a good bonus, no real issues of osmosis know but do check, there are 3 different keel configurations , Fin, Drop Keel or Tripple keel, again where are you keeping her, sailing destinations and mooring costs need to be considered here. If it has a wooden deck and coachroof be careful, there are many good examples that heve been lovingly cared for but if neglected can be a world of woe.
