I have to confess, I came across a series on Amazon, travel by narrowboat, it's been around for a while so if you've seen it what do you think of it?
I thoroughly enjoy it, still on season 1 and I keep thinking "this should be boring", but it's not (at least for me and my partner).
Don't know why I enjoy it so much but the he just gets on with things and seems a genuine person.
Give it a go for a couple of episodes and see what you think.
To give you an idea...

I did have a couple of narroboat holidays some years ago when the girls were young teens. We all enjoyed it .
However we decided it wasn't the sort of boating we really wanted . But can see the attraction.

It’s All boating. It’s all good. Whichever way you like your boats it’s better than a land based holiday.

There has just been a series on bbc4 called Canal Boat Diaries by Robbie Cummin which was enjoyable.
Beautiful scenery up North.

Use have a time share, one week per year on a narrow boat and love it
Plan is to sell our F36, one day, and bigger off around the network for the first year or two of our retirement
Got around ten years to wait though!
Have to agree about the lack of somewhere comfort to sit apart from the bed and if you don't like the view of the tow path look out the other side!
