Trevera25 - It's all your fault!!

Re: Trevera25 - It\'s all your fault!!

Well thanks bunches for blaming me , however as SWMBO found our little project , and fell in love , and dragged me off on a nine hour return drive to see her , I do believe the honour belongs to her . Good on yer Forbsie , any help I can offer or give is yours , but I think I'll probably be picking your brains more than the opposite way round . More details rqd , more pics etc , where is she going . Come on , you know the routine by now , but it's worth it isn't it /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Re: Trevera25 - It\'s all your fault!!

Doing a search on Google for my new boat Shintaray, the only entry in the UK that came up was for Dogstar an erstwhile poster hereabouts. Sadly, I believe that he is unwell but if he still looks on this forum I would like to wish him well and will be looking up his old posts for some advice and background.

Re: Trevera25 - It\'s all your fault!!

Many years ago, my Dad acquired a 52' by 12' pinnace of 1920's vintage, which had been - slightly dodgily - converted into a Gentleman's Yacht, complete with Bridge and Flag locker /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif. She rolled like a pig and was awash with condensation but was built like a brick whatsit, and her bottom was copper-sheathed (tcm ahoy!) and she had plainly been built to exacting specifications. The engine room was a sight to see, with a massive Gardiner Diesel and Lister generator.

She was always a bit, ahem rough-hewn, so it was instructive to see an original, still in commission (this was very late 1960's) in Cowes one year, absolutely immaculate, and gorgeous.

Have fun with her.
