hi there first time poster here im loking to move a 23ft longkeel sailing boat from near exeter to pitsea there is no trailer just wandering if any of you can recomend a delivery firm and what should i be looking to pay thanks

Don't be too disappointed if there isn't a reply. The regulars on this forum are so committed to sailing, and so proud of it, that they might be reluctant to admit knowledge of methods other than sailing round.

Get in touch with these people - branches all over UK... Very professional and competitive. They will quote you for no charge and it will probably be cheaper than most............

Don't just look at 'Yacht' transporters, a 4 ton flat bed might also do a job, or you might find a trailer you could hire, but that would have to be before the boats come piling out for winter.

Peters & May won't really be interested in this size of boat - they told me before that they use arctics and therefore want the larger yachts. They would quote, but it would be ridiculously expensive.
