Transport Query

A friend of mine is considering the purchase of a Princess 38 from Northern Italy (the Adriatic side), the boat and price seem very good but the problem of transport then arises, and he lives in Cork. He has obtained one quote from a large firm which seems quite high so my question is does anybody know of a good transport firm which offers a reliable value for money service. Or, alternatively any skippers who might like to quote him to motor it back.

Many thanks

Find out from Princess who they use, look in the stern of MBM & MBY for transporteers. Personally I wouldn't reccomend driving one all that way, the wear and tear, cost of fuel, air fares for skipper (and one other) and wages for the skipper would make it unviable.

Colin,

We could always do part of the trip each if our leave schedules overlapped

I can give you a name of an Irish firm who charged me €1800 euros for a trip that I was quoted £3500 sterling for.Its a cash deal so PM me for further information.A very professional service price included lifts at both ends!!!
