I have very nice hot and cold water on my sealine S24 and was thinking of fitting a hot and cold transom shower. Has anyone done this and if so what one did they fit. I don't want to cut out too large a hole in the boat. Any pics would be useful

Just finished fitting he Plastimo one to my Fjord 815, which entails 2 x 70mm holes. 1 for the showerhead and the other for the mixer, fitted in this case on the rear transom coaming which is curved. One thing not in the instructions though, is that the mixer 'rocks' up and down, thus regulating the water flow. Comes with hinged covers, which stay up, and in white or chrome finishes. Head comes with 3 metres of hose.

Sealine fitted transom showers to many S24’s
I would suggest fitting the same equipment available from Seabridge Marine or Britboats.

The ones that they have mean a very large hole the Whale twist is just one circular hole.

Sealine fitted something very similar to my SC35.
It works well, although it’s easy to spray yourself in the face without meaning to.

Well I was all excited about the whale twist then I read this very bad review
http://www.ventspleen.com/whale-twist-shower-review/

Well mine doesn’t drip, I can twist it on and off with wet hands, and the main complaint seems to be that it uses too much water??
The point about not being able to turn down the flow rate is a valid one, but for a quick hose down of salty people on the bathing platform, it’s fine.

Good but that is a very big hole to have to cut in the boat

I wouln't be overly concerned about the size of the hole needed cutting to put in your ideal shower arrangement. I would be very concerned that any hole cut conforms to a standard size so that if I ever chose to replace the shower unit I did not have an oversize hole. And of course that there is no structural integrity lost.
