Trailer sailer less than 730 kg?

Looks very tidy...........have to say I've gone of the Potter and now thinking Skipper or Sailfish, mainly because they seem to have active associations, which I suspect will be useful for finding the starboardknackerbolt which was only made for that particular boat

There are a couple of cheap Skippers on Ebay at the moment - one finishes very soon.

This one must be quite light (you should be able to look up the boat weight somewhere) and the trailer looks pretty minimalist so shouldn't be to heavy.

Just put in Skipper 18 yachts on ebay...........and got some very pretty cushions

Well that looks interesting its untouched by antifouling a Nofolk broad boat that's never been abroad...........Anybody know the difference between a Skipper and a Mariner?.....£295...seems like peanuts

The 'Mariner' name was first used in the 70s to describe the new design with a proper cabin instead os a pretty ugly cuddy on the earlier design. I hope the boat in Somerset finds a good home - it didn't sell on an earlier listing a couple of weeks ago.

Another here, but at this price it probably has gold-plated fittings.

It's just gone for £465.......is that a good price?.....just trying to get a feel for what they're worth......probably won't be buying until next year.....so plenty of time to look around

Well, I'm paying £500 for mine, including a trailer (needing work) and an outboard. She's pretty tidy but needed tittivating.

Plywood construction? Do take care, especially if grp sheathed or stored under trees for any length of time.

Update......I have finally bought a trailer sailer

It's only taken 13 years........at least no one can say I'm impulsive.

Although a yacht broker did say the 2 things you don't buy are "A" wooden boat and "B" a one off design.

Did some work on a Lysander a number of years ago,mloveley little boat. She was old, cheap, plywood and easy to work on. Liked the boat a lot.

Some lysanders were fibreglass.
