Boat is currently dry stacked at Saxon Wharf,

Looking at possible move for 2017
Would like to move to Med but it does not work at the moment.

Any good or bad points regards Trafalgar Wharf. Any current customers ?

How long does it really take to get to Portsmouth harbour entrance ?

Friend of mine has his quiksilver weekender there and rates them very highly. Not only do they jet wash after they will fill up your fuel too. Can put you in touch if you want anymore info.

I get a jet wash of the hull when get lifted out.
I like the idea of valet fuelling I have to say as I either have to use the lock at Hythe or go up the Hamble for MDL fuel. and that adds over 1/2 hour of what I class as wasted time

My only concern is about keeping the batteries topped up when the boat is not in use, Currently boat is plugged in all the time,
Does the indoor temp drop below zero as well ?
30 mins is not too bad , the trip down the Itchen to the top of Southampton water is 2 miles

You can ask to be put onto anto outside (maintenance) rack, then plug in from there. The valet fuelling works well, allow 20-30 mins to the harbour entrance. They also have a tidal marina pool with several serviced berths. Never got around to measuring shed tempersture but I did use thermo txt linked heaters when on an outside rack in winter.

Hi Ian

We used to sail out of Gosport and kept our first boat off Fleetlands at Foxbury Point, Trafalgar is another mile or so up from there. The run out is OK and comparable with your run down Soton Water, although we were on a sailing boat so only doing 5 knots. I prefer sailing from the Hamble because the choice of routes and destinations is more diverse, I did get fed up with the Eastern Solent, but as mentioned that was at 5 and later 10 knots on our first Mobo.

When I was at Gosport the speed limit was 10 knots. Also the entrance can be interesting. You will be closer to the M27 than you are presently.

BTW did you resolve your deck invoice problem ?
