Has anyone got any first hand experience on the Trader 41+2? Regarding seakeeping and general ownership. What sort of fuel economy and speeds etc, with the volvo 61's, 306hp. Many thanks
There are some very nice older Trader 41s on the Shannon. A popular family boat due to their cavernous and traditional interior. But they seem to be operated mainly in displacement mode when crusing (ie SD boats that can plane occasionally when required). The ones I've been on over here seem slightly under horsed for planning. I love the look of them inside and out. The build quality on the older ones I been on seemed very good (ie > 10yo).
Nice boat, fab interior. Twin 150hp is definitely a displacement boat. Price seems a bit at pre 2008 levels.
I agree, that boat has been for sale for a while, they need to get realistic with the price if they want to shift her. If I had that kind of cash, I would be going for this.... http://broom.apolloduck.ie/feature.phtml?id=288438 .....Now there is someone who is serious about selling, and have priced it accordingly.
Hi guys, thanks for all your comments. I have now sold my beloved Fairline targa (very hard decision) and now in the process of purchasing a trader 41+2, what a big difference!! She needs a bit of work but looking forward to the challenge
Not sure how to post pics
