I have just bought a car fitted with a tracker from a main BMW dealer. I am invited by Traker to transfer registration into my name for a fee of £30 and an annual operation of £109. Now here is the rub, should I not expect that as I dont know if the unit [which is hidden I know not where] has been removed,damaged or disconnected is tested by them inclusive within the price? Apparently the only way of operating it is by the Police if the car is stolen. I can have an engineer to come and check the unit for about another £100. As these units are also fitted to boats this may interest other formites in the same position. Do you believe that this company cannot check the unit remotely? Dave.

Have no experience of trackers but logic would dictate that surely it CAN be tested remotely. Sounds like yet another cunning money making scam to me. Tell em to sod off and by a bloody big dog to sit on the back seat.
