I posted last week about the track back function not working on my Garmin GPS 152 and tried everything over the weekend, but still no succes.
I changed the system language to English as the English manual seems more complete than the Dutch one.
Before I started, I deleted all existing tracks in the track menu.
Then I chose save track and stored it under a specific name.
Then we pottered away to a nice anchoring site 3,5 nm away.
Having anchored, I looked at the GPS and it had stored the track with 5 points.
On the map screen and on the highway screen the breadcrump trail was visible.
The book says that the points are stored under start, turn 1, turn 2 etc.
I could nowhere find these points.
Then I activated the follow track and chose the track stored.
On the map and highway screens the track was visible, but no turning points.
In the compass screen, the pointer keeps pointing at he marina, but does not follow the track.
My questions are:
What do I do wrong?
Is it possible at all to have the pointer guiding you to the turning points?
Should I somehow stop the recording of the track before activating the track back as now it keeps tracking the way back also (visible on the map screen).

Any help from this wise forum is higly appreciated.
I will be on a business trip later so I will not be able to respond before Friday.

Many thanks in advance,

Jan

If I have understood your correctly and can remember. Press the arrow button and that brings up a small area at the top of the screen. If you then use the arrows to point at where you want to go the area at top will give distance and direction. Hope this is of some help.

I have a Garmin GPS III so I do not know if the Track Back is the same. However, on mine the Track Back only works on the current track and I do not think you can use it on a stored track. So, to use it I just let the track build up its trail of breadcrumbs and then select Track Back from the menu. That converts the trail into waypoints and an active route.

Hope this helps.
