Tough commute this morning.

As there is a pontoon at work, I thought I'd commute by boat this morning.

Leaving the river.

Southampton Water at 30knots.

Approaching work.

Splendid way to start the day.

Not sure I'd want to do it in a F7 though.... the magic would diminish somewhat.


Looks like there was no-one else around. How long did the trip / commute take?

11 mins down the river.

7 mins at just over 30 knots to Dock Head.

14 mins up river and faffing about mooring.

+50 !!!!! ........ leaving for work shortly 1hr commute on M25 to get truck, then drive it passed my own front door to Lutterworth , then return !!!!!!... ho hum ......(shall I post some pics ??)...........runs for cover !!!!!

Yes, often found that to be a very useful exemption while nobody else is about and the HM is still in bed....cough..cough..

Yes please! Had the same yesterday, 1/2hr to get truck, then over an hour to get back up the M3 past the house & on to Bristol !
I did try to commute Southampton to Warsash by boat back in the 80's, great in the summer but could be hell at times in the winter!
