Does anybody have any actual experience of modifying the Yamaha ME422?
We have had our 245hp Yamaha in our boat for 14 years and it's a great engine.
Revs out to 3400 with a normal load which is its max rev's and stays cool.
The boat in my opinion is a bit under propped. She does 30 kts heavy and 33kts empty
She prefers to cruise at 25kts but 20 is good for fuel
If I go up a prop size I think she will struggle with getting onto boost as this can be an issue when seriously loaded.
The extra 30hp would help so I have sourced some 275hp injectors.
My main question is are the fuel pumps between 245 and 275 the same and also the fuel pins?
