Sorry to be a pain but I don't have immediate access to this info. Can anyone give me a rough idea of the distance between these islands for a future passage?

Many thanks! I've received quotes for shipping the boat back to UK and the cheapest option seems to be from Tortola - so it seems like a practical way forward.

If the boat is in St Lucia now, you may get a reasonable price from Guadeloupe as some of the shippers operate from there. The language difference may account for you not hearing about that. If you're in Rodney Bay you could nip across on the ferry to Marin and ask there.
