Tornadoes in Spain

And along the Algarve.

This was the pressure onboard yesterday when one just missed-

Not the first time though.

Thankfully no tornadoes in the yard at Portimao. Can imagine it would be absolute carnage if there were. Not sure what I'd do, there's a massive wooden boat propped up on some splitting little saplings 2 boats down, and I think if that fell over we'd be toast. I was pretty worried about it in the 50mph winds the other day - would it be out of order to ask the yard to prop it up better or move us further away from it?

No tornado in Albufeira, and glad we're so sheltered in our valley between the cliffs.

So far not much has happened, during a 55 knot gust a neighbouring boat's radar reflector flew off and rained shards down on the pontoon and one boat suffered damage to their Genoa because they left it poorly furled for several days. Strangely enough they were on board the whole time and did nothing about it.

As for boats falling over in stands, we were shaking quite frighteningly in the boatyard, and we were in a proper cradle and it wasn't even blowing hard then. Would definitely bring it up with the yard management. I kept thinking of this boat we saw in Fécamp:
