Have they gone, are they going, bust?

Less and less stuff in stock, slower and slower deliveries. Then this morning the phone rings and cuts off?

Anybody know anything?

I thought that sales had been growing significantly since they changed hands a couple of years ago. My local branch had everything I needed last week. I thought they might not stock one item but no problems at all.

No problems evident here. Perhaps it's just a glitch in their online side.

I'd be sorry to lose the local branch so had a quick look at their last financial report (April ,2013).

"Toolstation performed strongly as those stores opened with our support pre-acquisition moved further towards maturity. Like-for-like sales are up 21%, significantly ahead of other multi-channel operators, profits are approximately 280% higher and the estate has grown by 20 branches during the year. Overheads were well controlled throughout"

Hopefully, have several item 'missing' and deliveries held waiting for items to come in. Significant jobs in danger of not being finished, or billed, for the holiday. Aggro out of all proportion to the cost of the items, as usual.

Generally go into my local one about once a week on average - very rarely is stuff out of stock but, even if it is, they get it in the next day

+1 a couple of small items required to complete heating installs, but sourced elsewhere and finished / billed
