Not sure exactly what you mean but I do know there seem to be far too many bl**dy questions, most coming from one direction that suffers from severe mood swings!

But surely a forum is a public meeting place for open discussion. If no-one asks questions there wont be much to discuss !!

Lighthearteadness is the word that springs to mind. if such a word exists. just chatting which is what chat rooms sorry forums are for. Just seeing who is awake and who has got nothing to do but must be at his desk, like me./forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Yes, and er no.

There seem to be a fair number of novices who visit MoBoChat (myself included) so it's only fair lots of questions should be asked (seeing as errors can be expensive both financially and otherwise!). But, as someone who's been reading this for a while there are certainly a number of Q's that get asked often. What might help on the issue of choosing a boat and essential equipment might be some sort of 'flowchart' on the site that might start
'are you retired/rich and lazy/want to spend 2 weeks getting somewhere? If so choose raggy, if not then stinkpot' :)
(Stinkpot) day use (eg rib/sportsboat) or civilised?
(Civilised) Cross-channel/blue water or coastal or river (or by category or deep-v etc)?
(Blue water) budget ranges or s/h vs new?
(Range 1- up to £5k) Answer = (range of boats) = forget it and stick with your inflatable!

A bit rough and ready (hey, I'm a novice!) but you get my drift! All it would then need on MoBoChat is hundreds of messages saying this Bayliner should be in a better category than that Broom!

Ha ! Flushed you out have we.....wondered where you'd got to !
Have decided to apply the law of 'de minimis' to the question of the outstanding debt so you can breathe easy. However, I wonder if you'd care to take Grumpy/Happy under your wing..............

Re: Yes, and er no.

Surely the Forum is a just a Virtual Pub.

It will be subjected to the same mix of interesting and boring comments and conversations as would happen in a real pub.

Similarly, when one member begins to get a bit boring by asking too many questions for the sake of it, other members will begin to ingnore them.

Best just to let nature take its course and keep things as free and casual as possible.

Re: Yes, and er no.

Now then now then. That seems to have put the cat among the seagulls. I didn't say there are too many lists I just asked if you lot thought there were. My opinion is secret. It shows that when i said just put yes or no in the subject box everybody said rollocks which is great. Nobody thought of:- starboard list port list ba list ic etc
