Tonic, as in Gin, Officers for the use of

I want to make my own tonic! Well, I might have my own gin, then I would want to complete the process wouldn't I?

So, anyone got a basic, simple, proven and safe recipe for a tonic water. Assume I have access to the citric acid and that other bark stuff that people imp!y is the core ingredient.

Some way of ensuring that the resulting product is not toxic could come in handy too.

Plan is to make a syrup and then use the Soda stream to make a unique tonic water.

Await intelligent suggestions.....

Will go and look. Think the gin is a bit above needing Angostura. But we shall see.

Was once initiated into pink gins, took me days to get over it. And years to be able to cope with the smell of gin.

By some but certainly the officer who tought me how to make one it was always 'pink gin'. Most of my time in the service we used tonic as a water saving measure (submarines)
