I got the urge to take our rib onto the Blackwater and felt that Tollesbury might be a good place to launch. So we had a little visit and it is certainly a lovely place. We were there at low water so perhaps not the best time for a visit. We liked the place a lot but were somewhat concerned by the amount of mud and indeed how long we would have out before we had to race back concerned with being stranded.

Thanks, lovely video and 360. Well done. According to my actual measurements taken the marina cill has a drying height of -2.7m . Over the last 3 years that dredger in the middle of the marina has made very little progress against the battle with the silt (showing as the dark areas) in the marina. If you visit the marina and they put you in a berth in one of those silted areas ensure you keep all seacocks closed as the silt gets forced into your engine, heads, etc and does not always flow out again as you rise on the next flood.

The food in the onsite restaurant was very good when I visited a few months ago.

Don't park your car on the marina site without registering with the office. They have numberplate recognision and issue fines to any unknown vehicles.
