It was gorgeous on the Blackwater today. Singlehanded up past Osea, picked up a buoy at Marconi on the way back (the first time I've done that on my own /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif) for lunch and a read of PBO. Sailed off the mooring back to Bradwell, just the jib - 7.8knots SOG when 60% off the wind. Cup of tea and slice of cake back in the berth.

T-shirt and shorts all day. Marvellous /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yes, steeled ourselves and had a day out on the boat.
It was hell, I tell you.

Mind you, the sailors seemed to be having more fun. Should've launched the trimaran.

Cracking day on the Clyde too. After spending last night at anchor below Brodick castle this morning I moved to my favurite anchorage at Kingscross in the south of Lamlash Bay. Rowed ashore and nice walk throught the woods and along the shore to Whiting Bay....picked up the Arran Banner the local newspaper, walked back along the lanes to the boat. Sat and read paper in the sun then at 1500 headed off back to Troon in a great SW F5, with only a headsail up I made 5kts all the way home in a very warm sun.

Day in the garden tommorrow then back to work for another 6 days........then it starts all over again!!

Paul.

And my son rang up an hour ago saying he'd knocked off work early, they'd dumped the kids on grandparents (not me) and were down at Dale, the western end of the Milford Haven and it was beautiful there too.

Been helping out at our yacht club Cadet week. 120 kids aged between 7 and 17, out on the water either racing or learning to sail. Fantastic day. Force 3,Blue skies, Factor 20 and great kids. This is why we go out in boats!! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
