34 degs in Bromley, too hot in the house. Thinking about sitting in the car for the air conditioning- but rather anti-social to the neighbours I guess!

It's at times like this that I'm glad I set the pool up . Anyone passing and fancy a cool off , be my guest , I can see the damn thing through the window , but I've got work to do in here and can't get in it , till later

Wimps /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif Ya moan when it's too cold, moan when it's too windy, moan when it's not windy enough and now when it's too sunny /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

We've blocked the portlights with aluminium foil to keep the sun out the boat today - our outside thermometer under the bimini in the cockpit just reached 102.6F in the shade - what's that in real money? well over 40degC anyway. Forecast was to reach 96-97F so we're already well past that. It's supposed to get hotter tomorrow and Thursday, forecast around 101-102F so heaven knows what it's really going to get to.

Sun is so strong too, can't do much except sit down below and be a sad git on the forum. Air con is just about managing to keep the cabin under 80F.

Still, the boys managed to finish our solar panel installation this morning and our nice pair of shiny 130W Kyocera's are pouring all this luvverly free sun juice into the batteries. If only someone would invent an efficient 12V air conditioner then we'd be all set /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Cheers

Neil (on the Chesapeake)

I'm not complaining , without the heat , the pool wouldn't have been warm enough for me to have spent the last few hours playing at submarines , nice and refreshed now /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Drove back from Brittany today and the temp ranged from 34 - 38°. Yesterday when the car was in the sun it was 43°. Couldn't sit on the leather.
