TMP gearbox

i have a TMP gearbox and reduction box combined on my 1974 perkins 4108.it makes an awful grind in slow speed ahead.
anyone know where i can get service info about it. ?

I had one, now replaced, in my Nic 38. TMP are still going strong somewhere in Berkshire (I think), near Windsor.

I am not sure but believe it stands for Thorneycroft Marine Propulsion.

Last year I rebuilt my TMP gearbox/perkins 4108 prior to cruising my Nich 38. I found Thamesway Marine in Waybridge . The guy(kevin) works out of his house and will still provide new/rebuilt gearboxes/ parts.
