The Jabsco pump only may not fit on the top of the horizontal pipe from the bottom of the bowl but the hozontal pipe from the jabsco will fit the bottom of the bowl.

Thanks, Roger, it's all becoming much clearer now.

I can also see from your pics that the Jabsco (type) base mounting, though potentially solving the pump replacement for me, won't line up with the existing holes in the floor for the older style TMC base, as they have a (different) offset from the toilet. (Why is life never simple?)

The lever type pump handle on the 05 version of the TMC looks a sensible development. Perhaps other manufacturers will follow.

TMC offer no obvious support for earlier models.

There are TMC replacement and service parts, and what you call 'older models' still available, but they are not much marketed here in the UK. (Curiously, a lot of TMC pumps and other products are sold here for aquariums and the like.) It seems from an internet search TMC toilets and parts are retailed rather patchily, and one might have to get the particular part needed from a retailer in Australia, Japan, Korea, Poland, Spain, Italy or wherever.

It appears that ECS are the wholesale distributors for TMC toilets in the UK, but I can only find complete toilets, not spares, in their catalogue. I don't know if they will supply other TMC parts via retailers on specific request.

I do still have the old TMC sat here awaiting a tip run if the pump mech is of any use to you. The seawater inlet side is accessed from the top 4 screws ? You could undo take a look and see what condition the rubber gasket is in, there is a spring in there that needs to be working and in place. If the spring or gasket is knackered i could pinch out of ours for you, that may improve your situation.

Hi, we haven't had chance to get down to the boat and investigate yet. Have you been to the tip yet?

Just to reiterate what Tranona (and perhaps others) said earlier, check there is actually water coming in via the inlet seacock.

I'd suggest doing this before dismantling the toilet pump. Some seacocks will fail between the handle and the ball - you've turned the handle but the seacock may actually still be closed, or the inlet may have been clogged by creatures or excess antifouling paint.
