"Are these people Sportscruiser owners? "

Oi.......lay off.
They have quite enuff to contend with already as apart from being tucked up with a boat resulting from a nasty collision of a tent shop and an unstable giant soap dish completely unuseable for 364 days of the year and being totally impractical for just about anything and everything involving boating and human beings.

The finest hour of any sportsboat was basically the time spent gleaming in the showroom,it is all broken promises after that.
Wibble Wobble Wibble Wobble wandering along all over the place like a demented bee and thats before a butterfly claps its wings and the resulting breeze causes the boat to head off wildly in some other random direction other than the desired one. :):):)

PDROM ?

Blimey like ex-smokers you can always tell an ex-sportscruiser owner, those who made the life changing mistake of buying a US made twin petrol outdrive powered one seem particuarly scarred:D

:
Given that, as evidenced by another thread, you seem to be currently intent on sleeping on board in a frozen over marina I would say you almost certainly do !!! :D

Maybe you are right! Considering I have a perfectly good house to sleep in and at the moment I am happy on my boat. Boat is warm, marina is frozen, cats and other half are happy. I think boating has finally warped my brain...

Did I mention I love my boat :-)

I am afraid it's the tight knit community that is slowly killing this place.

More of a "clique" really. One of the reasons I stopped looking at this place a good while ago.
As a fairly impartial viewer heres my take on it. The ATYC seem to me to be an closed "old boys club" One which seems to cter to the more well heeled type of boater. Money talks I suppose.

The TMBA, not heard of them before looks to represent a wider spectrum of river user. The down to earth guy/family who do it for the love of it.
Maybe if there is enough backing and the numbers swell then it could be a voice to be rekon'd with. Keep the red flag flying eh!

Now I'm off back to the kykak forum where everyone sits at the same level.....water level
