TK\'s succint guide to sound signals.

It seems there are many of you out there who do not understand the signifance of sound signals. So here is a brief recap.
One toot - handbrake turn to starboard
Two toots - ditto, but to port
Three toots - just slapped it into reverse
Five toots - like it or not, I'm coming through.

Right, have you got that? If not, go nowhere near Port Solent.

Lips are sealed dear boy, but if you can think of a 'butter who has an air compressor the size of a Contessa 32's main engine, solely dedicated to the ship's siren, you'll be getting warm!

BTW - it was a change to be aboard a vessel where the lockie warned everybody to get out of our way and stay out of our way, or else!

Re: ah!

aha! Does this refer to the sort of deranged power-mad stinkie, mad glint in their eyes, fingers hardly able to resist the throtles, looking dead ahead - impervious to all around them cept those who might dare to impede their progress?

Re: missing teak

Now you mention it, I am fairly sure that i had teak on the foredeck, but just today i notice there is no teak there at all! I wonder what happened? I must say they made a very neat job of removing the stuff, probably a professional job...
