With 1.6m draft, how soon after a forecast 0.5m LW (Harwich) tide would it be sensible to leave Titchmarsh (heading for Pye End)?

With 1.6m draft, how soon after a forecast 0.5m LW (Harwich) tide would it be sensible to leave Titchmarsh (heading for Pye End)?

I would leave when the height of tide was 1.8m

We have often left earlier than desirable, with a similar draft. If you can push past the mud in the Twizzle there will be enough water at Pye End, the next shallow bit being past Stone Point. I generally reckon on Pye End being around .9 m at datum even though it appears to be lined with concrete.

All subject to wind direction and strength. It can be pretty bouncy on this trip or a mill pond.

The Harbourmaster at Titchmarsh advised me that if I could get out of the marina, there would be enough depth at Stone Point. I draw 1.6m, and in my experience that's true.
