You would be more likely to attract more replies if you started a brand new one of your own ..... people dont like reading half way through an old thread before realizing its an old one

Personally I prefer to see an old thread resurrected as this saves trawling through multiple threads on the same subject. I know a lot of people have the opposite preference. But it's just that - a personal preference. Nothing wrong with either approach.

A good second hand bowl is £7 plus p&p Or a new aftermarket bowl is £15 plus p&p . Or have it completely rebuilt Inc new bowl and jets and ultrasonic clean for £35 plus return post

Just did a quick service on mine, and for the 1st time familiarised myself with the carb drain plug. I usually just run the engine dry and let it empty the carb itself. However, I was slightly surprised at how much fuel remained in the bowl.
FYI, it's a 10mm hex head that needs loosening, and is very easy to locate with the engine still over the back and needs only a turn or so to allow it to empty, then to remember to retighten it afterwards.
Obvs, Steve65 knows this, and it's been posted before, but it bares repeating as it will help people with these fabulous little O/Bs!

Acquired a Honda BF2D o/b today. It's not run for years so I decided to strip, clean and service it (and replace the mild steel bolts that hold it together).

I've discovered the fuel tap is broken. Anyone got a broken carb they could cannibalise for me?
