Has anyone tried Vick's Vaporub to cure fungal disease? I read about it on the web and tried it when Lamisil failed to cure my toe-nail fungus (tinea unguium). It took several months, but a morning and evening application of Vicks eventually worked. When I saw a skin specialist I was embarrassed to admit that I had used Vicks, and expected to be pooh-poohed, but she confirmed that Vicks will do the job. "My grandmother swears by it," she said.
Vicks has at least two advantages over Lamisil: 1. It's much cheaper; 2. Your toes will never suffer coughs and wheezes.
I imagine it would be just as effective on all the fungi in the tinea range.
