Interesting video here of a super yachts construction.

See 3:15 in - the metal superstructure, (I am assuming aluminium is being coated, (plastered is what it looks like) in what I assume is epoxy.

I this normal? and is the hull coated as well ?

I would guess it's some sort of expoy fairing compound.

Couple of continuity issues early on, and could do with a tighter edit.... plus the grade could be better....
