I'll talk to the mods to see if they can delete all the posts from mine onwards as even you have quoted me.

PM's DO work ... I've had 6 from people saying that they didn't know either, and one who did who gave me even more info.

I have removed the quoted text. Users can't delete posts, but if the mods wish to remove the whole thread, I am quite happy for that to happen.

I've suggested total removal as ... er ... it is 11 years old and nothing in it will be missed.

Incidentally users CAN delete posts and just put a full stop. See above. Perhaps Charlie could do the same.
