Tidal predictions - complete & FOC

Thanks, that is excellent. I like the very clear explanations of what and why tides happen that this site (and the Wateralmanak(sp?)) give. It's bookmarked ready for the summer NL trip.

I also like the way the Dutch use local time throughout.

Re: Tidal predictions - complete & FOC

Looks excellent but unfortunately the selection map and place selection doesn't work for me, as the site acknowledges may happen.

Same here, but the hint from Mr Guapa is more aimed at the UKHO making info available free, unless I'm mistaken, a point which I tend to agree with

Probably not in the power of UKHO to make it free...they are an 'agency' of our wonderful Government and are required to make ends meet without allowances for giving the public access to information they (the public) have already paid for.

Re: Tidal predictions - complete & FOC

Works for me, no selections available at first, but if you click at the bottom as invited it then works fine.

You can select any site and any date and get a tidal curve, you can also choose whether you want GMT or Dutch time etc..

Still thanks very much Guapa another info service put in the favorites box . /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Also am i right or wrong that there used to be excellent weather service on this forum and i was wondering if it was to return with its no nonsense forecast hopefully also foc /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

As Guapa's not sailing at the moment, the Guapacast has been temporarily mothballed. It's scheduled to reappear around mid-May.

There's always Simon Keeling's WE weather forecast on SB - strangely enough, there never seems to be any weather east of Greenwich.

Should there be a demand for it, I could post the CINCFLEET 48Hr lookout for the WE. FOC, as you've already paid for it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Oh there's always a demand for free stuff on here /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Why not post it weekly as the East coast forecast ?
But don't miss out the Wash /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Bernie, dream on /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I've checked a few forecasts for this weekend, and they all say the same, wet, windy and worrible. Had good reason for keeping up to date so pretty fed up with what's coming /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
Here today we have had everything from high winds to hail and heavy rain, not the sort of weather I want to be out in /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

No doubt you won't be on your own, but when the fishing trips are cancelled in the Wash it's because they prefer cleaning fish to clearing upchuck /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
