Brendan i think is away at the moment so i will liase with him on his return, but the breakdown is as follows:

2 marquees the main one is bigger than last year and we have a seperate one for the food. total cost £1500.00 ,the chairs ,tables, lighting, matting and lining we are getting free of charge.

Food is exactly the same as last year which was excellent, both meat eaters and veggies are catered for, believe me you wont be dissapointed. The cost of this is £14.95 per head Plus VAT we have had the VAT waived.

If we base this on 150 people the calculati is as follows

Marquees 1500.00
food 2242.50
less MDL contribution 800.00
Total 2942.50

£19.61 per head.

Last year a sweet was also laid on but from what Mark at Oyster Quay has told me because of the large spread not many people ate it, so if we forget pudding we can reduce the cost by £2.00 per person.

The obvious headache is collecting the monies which I think Brendan has in order, clearly if people drop out at the last minute and we are catering for 150 there is going to be a shortfall in monies so we need people to be 100% when they say they are coming.

Paypal are evil. I can't get them to unfreeze my account after they decided it was involved in some fraud (despite there being no complaint by anyone). My crime? To send 300 euros to a friend of mine in Holland. Took them 3 months to decide it was fraud though and only then did they yank the funds back from him, held onto them for a few weeks, before giving them back to me (only after I queried them).

The t&cs that they operate under are very one sided. I'm sure that when it works, its fine - but when it doesn't, its extremely difficult to get redress. See nopaypal for more info.

If Brendan has worked out collection details for monies, perhaps he could post it on here to let everyone know.

Depends on what exactly it was you were trying to import from Amsterdam, of course...

before everyone goes off at a tangent, payment details are in hand. I was just waiting for final confirmation of costs before I posted anything, and it will be via Kim at IPC as last year.

Will sort in next day or two.

all in good time. Details will be pretty much the same as last year. Need Kim to finalise details, and he will post when sorted.
