The panel with all the 12v switches and fuses fronts the plywood cabinetry by my navigators seat. Behind is the main distribution board.
It is held on by 10 screws into the plywood, but as these have to be undone every time to do any work on the electrics, most are now loose. Obviously I could fit larger screws. But it is inconvenient to keep screwing and unscrewing, and I was wondering about an alternative arrangement that could be undone more readily for ease of access.
Any suggestions?
Hinges would not work well, as it is useful to lift the panel clear forward when working behind. I had thought of thumbscrews screwing into caged nuts, but not sure if caged nuts would hold well in plywood.
