Morning
I've got a thru / through hull transducer for the sounder in my Antares and I wondered if there was a general rule of thumb for replacing them.
They are a skin fitting the same as a seacock but they don't seem to have the same level of concern about breaking off or leaking.
I have replaced all the seacocks in the last few years so not worried about those at the moment but the transducer got me thinking...
It's one of these types and I presume it's still the same one that was fitted by Beneteau when the boat was built in 2005.
Still works fine with the Raymarine DS500x fishfinder (also now 20yrs old) hence me wondering how long they are safe for.
