Throttle levers

Having not used the boat the past few months I notice the Yamaha throttle levers are really stiff and sticking, esp the starboard engine.Won’t help close quarters throttle blips. Will loosen up when used a bit I’m sure but can I spray a bit of WD40 in there ? As they’re electrical inside likely be ok but thought I’d check in case it’s a no no…

Pays to research first…..side hex adjusters found and suitably tweaked….

WD40......water displacement.
For cleaning electrical contacts........ Servisol.
Neither applies here ?
