Hi all, some advice needed please..
I have twin lever dual action throttle controls on my S28, I find them really stiff to use especially going into reverse.
I would like to change them for something more smooth actioned, not sure what I can get to replace them !
Any suggestions please ??
They are connected to twin KAD32's.

Firstly do you have out drives, as the stiffness is usually caused at the gearbox end.

However if the cables havnt been changed, new 33c supreme ones with a twisted wire centre operate much more smoothly. You will need to check if they are suitable for the outside dunking.

Oiling the control head does help as well. it is easily split in two, spray grease is the answer, for lubrication without disturbing the cables in the head.

When I was at the Southampton boat show, someone on the Suzuki stand recommended Teleflex Extreme cables for steering and throttle cables.

Lever don't go stiff it's the cables that wear out inside causing the inner cable to rub into the liner inside the cable, next time the boats out of the water fit new shift cables.

The TFXtreme cables are very good indeed; it transformed the shift quality on my last DPS equipped boat, the shift had been obstructive from when only a few months old..
