Just in case someone would suggest that I'm feeding the trolls, I'll declare myself guilty as charged in advance, but I can't resist challenging your very superficial logic a bit.You don't seem to understand the concept of an insult. Even if something is true or not a statement can still be an insult..... A person can be exceedingly fat but calling them so is still most possibly insulting.
As for people reaching certain positions again whether true or not does not in my view give them the right to preach to others.
I have no issue with wealthy people provided it does not carry with it arrogance
Also in your post above you have been insulting to housewives suggesting that in some way you are better than them. I suspect however you don't realise your insult
Ref. the semasiology of "insult", if we follow your fat person analogy, what you are implying is that you are indeed a troll, and well aware of it - as any exceedingly fat person is of his/her condition, obviously.
BUT, you don't want to be called a troll, because when the truth sounds offensive it should be kept hidden.
Fairenuff, you are neither the first nor the last to think along these lines. Let me guess, you are in the "Brexit at all costs" camp?
Ref. the relationship between social standing and arrogance, I'm afraid that most of your previous objections prove that you've got the wrong end of the stick on that.
In fact, in several occasions, you applied the logic in reverse, i.e. whenever you felt like reading someone's comment as arrogant/preaching, you jumped in the conclusion that his/her comment was driven by some kind of "position".
Now, that's a non-sequitur, if I've ever seen one.
Ref. housewives, of course I don't realize my insult, because there's none at all.
I only mentioned that type of forum as an example of a place whose members are unlikely to be as wealthy as in a mobo forum, nothing else.
This is a generalization of course, and as such bound to be proved wrong sometimes, but why insulting?
If in you mind wealthier implies "better" (in which sense, btw?), well, that's your own frustration, not mine.
