Hi all, I borrowed some sort of sealant that was designed for brass pipe end fittings that are used in fuel lines, stupidly I didn't note what it was and it was borrowed from a local mecruiser house when I was last in Poole.

Can anyone recommned a product for me that I can use to seal the threads of the brass couplings?

Regards,
T

Cheers that looks easier to find...probably a car discount shop will have that.

The one I used to be in some sort of compressable applicator, the fluid was golden in colour, apparently lots of marine shops use it.

Try 'Rocol oil seal' it's not cheap but very good, seals any screw pipe fittings as it is pasted onto the threads before you tighten up then sets.
Comes in a little domed shaped can complete with internal brush.
Piped all my diesel fittings up with it no hesitation to recommend it.
Available from any good plummers merchant.
