Quick update. (Short version)..
After hearing this, I texted Gary and he's replied saying a heart attack was confirmed which lasted from 2am-7am. Blood test showed leaking enzymes into the bloodstream which in turn showed damage to the heart had occurred. However, all other tests are normal and he's not in any pain. There's no further on-going damage to the heart which is good news of course. They may transfer him to Oxford to investigate the exact problem area apparently. ECG showed function of the heart has not been damaged permanently.
He says to say thanks to Paul (Rafiki) for letting people know what's occurring and that he hopes to be back on the boat very soon if he has his way!

Thanks for the update Lisa. Feel for Gary, hospital is the last place you want to be if you're ill . Full of sick people! Sounds like he is on the mend fortunately.
