Anybody contemplating a cross-channel trip?
At this point in time the Beaulie River looks good for the weekend.

Cherbourg Airport is forecasting 40 knots gusting 65 knots this afternoon. I'd stay in Beaulieu 'til tomorrow

Belgium is a no go as well

AWZ (=flemish admistration of waterways and sea) warns of a solid 7-8 tonight.
Tomorow sunny with 5-6WZW
Sunday sunny, SSW, backing to SSE, 4-5, with chance of a thunderstorm in the evening.

Stay home!

7-8 means Blankenberge and Nieuwpoort are out, Oostende is difficult, Flushing a definite nightmare (lee shore). So only Breskens and Zeebrugge left.

As previously reported, be aware that Cherbourg is closed to visitors due to a mulihull event.

I'd stay in Beulieu.

Cheers
