Just had a forecast for Sunday 27th May 2012.

For sea area's Portland, Sole, Fitzroy, Azores: Up until 15th June.

North East 3 - 4 increasing 6 (just for 2 1/2 hours)

15th June -22nd. June 2012 Sunny, light breeze on the beach.

23rd June - 10th July 2012

South West 3 - 4 increasing 6 (just for 1/2 hour). slight, good, good

I think I woud prefer a nice beam reach so it is not too rolly polly. Have sent my £15. Am told you will need a further £15 to change it back.

Black Pig - Have you theoretically left, of are you theoretically still sitting in Plymouth finding new bigs of gear that need sorting before you can go?

I would have sat in Plymouth for the 27th. I would have thought the start time would have been delayed 24hrs. If not would have left the morning of 28th.

As you get further from the coast you might be more interested in synoptic charts than coastal forecasts:

I was recieving fax code via short wave radio en route and could display these charts on a PC. I guess you could have a satelite link if funds permitted.

You could argue that you can't do anything about the weather even if you know its coming - didn't Blondie call the barometer the 'most useless thing on board?'
