Flare is No1 of her class so a little bit special . /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

We had several clinker versions of these in Barry when they were first built. A local yard also built them but carvel construction. Later we had a few GRP versions, so all in all pretty popular and good boats for the Bristol Channel which is a good recommendation in itself.
Look forward to seeing photos of "Flare" in concours elegance condition

Congratulations Jason , soon as Miss Ellie is launched you can now officially borrow the trailer for as long as it takes you to complete the project , and as I've said before , no , I won't be charging , consider it a favour

Your a good man dave !
I find it a real shame that classic mag have not got back to me regarding her refurb but the members of SBC have offered all the help i needed to get her close to my workshop at very little or no cost .
I think she is a classic Yacht , maybe they don't ?

Well I hope it goes well. You'll need all your skills to make a good job of her. You won't need me to tell you that if it looks like it may be rotten. It is. So don't spare the scalpel in the early stages.
Don't lose heart. Don't let the funding stream slip.

When you're finished you'll have a little boat that will sail as well as she'll look. Great little boats.

Guess what , the storage fees went up 10 quid a month as of the first of this month ! Right chancer that [--word removed--] aint he ! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Oh and while your boat is for sale he doesnt charge storage fees . /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

She'll be OK below the waterline and as far as inspections above go , she needs a bit of painting and I can do that in the water so I'll get cracking on her bottom over the weekend

Good on yer mate! She needs saving and I know you are just the man!
You may need your screwdriver bit back!! Thanks for that as well, Jason!!

I recently also got a project yacht ...it was to be either a kestrel like yours or a folkboat
I went for the folkboat[cause Ive always loved them]
So i will have fun as well!
