As I'm painting the topsides on a boat I looked at that section.
Just like our forums really. Everyone agrees to disagree.
I did find one nugget though about using a dark paint
"They say that the real problem is that the increased heat will push the catalysis of the polyester a bit farther along. This resin shrinks a bit and that's why you get print-through of the fabric. This continued cure occurs even on decades-old boats. Except aesthetic, it's no inherently serious issue. "
I found I could see the fabric pattern when I flatted the existing dark blue paint."
