Besides, didn't you possibly mean higher for the drives, rather than closer?
The only way I'm aware of for getting the drives closer is through staggered engines, but I very much doubt that he could do that in a Hunton 37.
At least, not without sacrificing the rear bench, which would be way OTT, imho.
Anyway, even if anyone capable of doing all that has my utmost respect, I'm not sure to see the point.
I mean, at the end of the day all the tricks you can think of can only bring marginal improvements, compared to the sheer power and light weight of petrol engines...
And I'd be curious to hear what sort of speed increase he achieved with that front wing alone, because I'm very skeptic that it can be relevant, even at 80mph - which ain't such a high speed, from an aerodynamic standpoint...
