Didn't realise they wanted that much for it.. Its a gurt great boat though. Painted bright orange - very discrete. Looks in good shape. Went on board one night as engines had been running for hours. doors open and no one at home - thought owner had perhaps fallen/slipped or something.

Masses of space in it.. reminded me of the small British Colombia ferries out of Vancouver.. the ones that work, not the seacats.

Looks like it's built like a brick toilet.

There is a big trawler-looking thing at Richmond Bridge. I talked to the guy last night and he said he had just bought it in N. Ireland for £8000 or 9000 (can't remember). He couldn't remember the brokers name but gave me a copy of Boats and Yachts For Sale and said they advertise in there and have others availabe around your budget. I couldn't find ad though.

I'll photograph his boat this afternoon and post it here to see if I'm on the right track.

Re: This is it.

No probs Mick. I was just a bit surprised to see it down there. In fact he is in the space that I would really like to rent for a couple of weeks if I can't get up on the slip.

Best of luck with the one tomorrow.

Re: This is it.

But your only a short run from The Londoners Prentice which is a great drying out place , if you pop it high enough up the slip this time of year you should get loads of work done.
Then there's the grids at Kew Bridge which are handy if you need to get right under the hull.
I used both on more than one occasion .
Mind you after two weeks the PLA asked me when I was moving ..
Cheers

Re: This is it.

The reason I want to get onto the slip is to replace the engine and service the leg so I would have to be towed there. The last bits eventually arrived for my engine from ASAP on wednesday but not a bolt in sight so I'm going to have to measure every bloody one /forums/images/icons/mad.gif.

Re: This is it.

There's a firm just as you go into West Drayton on the right who sell nuts bolts and so on to the trade i.e. boat yards chandlers in the area.
Only a little place with a small double door , cant remember their name now !!.
But it's next to an Indian restaurant, opposite the library
Cheers
